FreeRun——Professional Manufacturer of Thrust Ball Bearings

Features :

Thrust ball bearings consist of two precision washers (rings) and a ball separated by a cage. They can be with or without radius ball grooves in the ring. Thrust ball bearings are used under pure axial load, and their speed is limited.

According to the capacity, it is divided into one-way thrust ball bearings and two-way thrust ball bearings. Our thrust ball bearings are a special type of one-way thrust ball bearings.

One-way thrust ball bearings have two washers with grooved raceways. The curvature of the raceway is slightly greater than the curvature of the ball. Among the two washers, one is a shaft washer and the other is a bearing seat washer. The aperture of the shaft ring is the shaft diameter, and the aperture of the seat ring is slightly larger than that of the shaft ring, which is convenient for free rotation. These types of thrust bearings are mainly used for axial load conditions that radial bearings cannot withstand. They can accept pure thrust loads in one direction and are not suitable for speed applications.

Thrust ball bearings are separable, so installation is simple, because the gasket and ball and cage assembly can be installed separately.

Applications:

Remote control models, automobiles, motors, home appliances, construction machinery, transmission shafts, gear shafts, dogs, bicycles and various professional machinery.

Product Overview

The 3x8x3.5 thrust bearing is used in several RC vehicles and designed to allow movement between parts while maintaining a large axial load, and easily relubed. This thrust bearing by FreeRun is made of Chrome Steel and the washers are deep grooved on one side for a smooth action.

Benefits

· Makes working on your diff so much easier.

· No more worries of losing a ball.

· When applying grease to it you won't get your fingers covered in grease from having to press the balls into place.

Tips

· Steel ball, least expensive and easy to adjust the diff. However you will have to replace them more often and the diff will never be as smooth as a Tungsten Carbide or Ceramic ball version.

· Tungsten Carbide ball, this is what we recommend for most racers, the balls are more true than steel balls and slightly harder but still have a few imperfections which allows the ball to grab the the surface of the grooved rings easily. This makes it easy to set the diff tightness.

· Ceramic ball, these balls are completely smooth and very hard. This makes for the best feeling diff out of all our options but it also makes for the most narrow window for setting your diff tightness correctly. Should only be used by the most experienced of racers.
